Oaken Notes requires macOS Tahoe 26+, an Apple Silicon Mac (M1 or newer), and Apple Intelligence enabled. Allow about 3.5 GB of free disk space for the app and models.

Is Oaken Notes really private?
Yes. Everything processes on your Mac using Apple Intelligence and the Neural Engine. No servers, no cloud uploads, no third-party access to your data.
Does Oaken Notes work offline?
Yes. Apple Intelligence runs locally on your Mac's Neural Engine. You can record, transcribe, and generate summaries without an internet connection.
Do I need an account?

Does a bot join my meetings?

How do I manage or cancel my Pro subscription?
Visit your account portal to update payment details, view invoices, or cancel your subscription.
Billing & Subscription
Oaken Notes Pro subscriptions are managed through Paddle, our payment provider. From your account portal you can:
- Update your payment method
- View and download invoices
- Cancel your subscription
Troubleshooting
Microphone permission denied
Open System Settings > Privacy & Security > Microphone and allow Oaken Notes access.
No transcription appearing
Check that Apple Intelligence is enabled in System Settings.
Audio not capturing
Make sure Screen Recording permission is granted in System Settings > Privacy & Security.
